Celebrity Fit Club! I Coulda Been a Contender!

The new cast of Celebrity Fit Club was announced today and I'm going to share a little secret with my loyal blog readers. I was almost on it! No, I'm not overweight, so I wasn't going to be a contestant. I was being considered to replace the psychologist, Dr. Linda Papadopolous (who is pregnant in the UK and unable to travel). Since I'm not a psychologist or psychiatrist, and I certainly didn't have time to get a Masters in Clinical Psychology in 4 weeks, I was going to be a life coach to "motivate & inspire by example" the contestants into losing weight. Alas, it wasn't meant to be. The network has hired Stacy Kaiser (a real clinical psychologist & licensed marriage & family therapist). I'm sure she'll be great, but when you're watching, you can pretend that she's me ;-)
Even without me, it should be a fun season with : Maureen McCormick (Marcia Brady), Dustin Diamond (Screech), pop singer Tiffany, rappers Da Brat & Warren G, Ross The Intern (The Tonight Show), country artist Cledus T Judd, & American Idol contestant Kimberley Locke. Since I have no plans to gain forty pounds, Celebrity Fit Club is probably not in my future.

Toni,
You're so sweet, but it's a done deal.

OK, that does it. We'll make our OWN "Celebrity Fit Club". Let me start working on the giant scales - I have room in my backyard for them, I think. We'll just have to figure out a way to keep the squirrels from jumping on the thing, since that will throw off the calibration.

I'm surprised that Maureen McCormick needs to lose weight; she was looking quite hot in that Catwoman outfit on the short lived "Teen Angel", but that was 10 YEARS ago? How time flies.

Having Da Brat should be interesting, after her time on "Surreal Life" - she wasn't very kind to Jane Wiedlin (who I just met yesterday). She seems to be better known for being on reality shows than for rapping.

Erin, I'm sorry you didn't get the gig, but thanks for giving us a peek behind the curtain - I hope that this will make the next job prospect easier so that you land the gig you want.

Too bad it didn't work out. I like the life coach idea, and it wouldn't have been a bad gig to work with Harvey and the good doctor. :^) They have a good cast this time except for Dustin Diamond--his 16 minutes are up! I think it is very brave for Maureen to go on there, but I bet she will look the best when it is over.
